Are you sure that it’s your weight that causes your distress, or the constant fear of gaining it?
Eating disorders often come with a morbid fear of gaining weight. So, you have to ask yourself: Is the problem my weight, or do I have a fear (or a phobia) of gaining weight?
These questions also apply to people with higher body weights. You have to consider: is it my weight that causes my distress, or is it the constant preoccupation with and fear of gaining weight?
